Erin Gallivan, Esq.
Raised in Foxboro, Massachusetts, Erin is the second youngest in a family of five. She attended Lehigh University and graduated in 1993. Afterward, Erin lived in New York City, working at a homeless shelter before pursuing graduate-level courses at the Northeastern University School of Law and graduating in 1998.
After graduation, Erin moved to Vermont to work for a federal judge where she fell in love with Vermont — the people, the beauty, the snow. She has been representing injured Vermonters in workers’ compensation claims ever since. She also works in estate planning, real estate, and advise condo/homeowner associations, small businesses, and independent schools.
Erin loves walking, hiking, cross country skiing, making birthday cakes for co-workers and family, and painting abstract art. She currently lives in Brandon with her two children, one of which is studying at UVM and another at Denver University.
Getting hurt on the job can be one of the most difficult times of your life. You’ve been injured, you are probably in pain, and you don’t know how long it will take to recover. And if your claim is denied, you don’t have any income to pay the bills and support your family. Meanwhile, the insurance company, employer, and sometimes even your own doctors treat you as if you’ve done something wrong. As a lawyer, I cannot fix your injury or make people treat you better. But I can use my knowledge and experience to help you navigate the system and help you ensure you are getting all the benefits that the system provides.
Although I can’t take the case of every person who calls me, I can — at least — provide information to every injured worker in Vermont. Handling your own workers’ compensation claim is a complicated process, and it is difficult to figure out if you’re getting all the benefits you are entitled to. If you have questions about your claim, feel free to call or email me, even if you are not sure you want or need a lawyer.
